The've raced week in and week out - they've given their all to the cheers of the crowd. They have given us excitement and great entertainment, but now it's our turn to look after them and to find them a loving and caring home. This where the Retired Greyhound Trust (RGT) steps in.
Thousands of families love Greyhounds for their gentle, loving and affectionate nature. Greyhounds are wonderful companions who are fantastic with children. They love nothing better than to relax and need just two 20 minute walks a day !
About 9000 Greyhounds retire from racing every year that need to be loved and cared for. Each track has its own branch of Retired Greyhound Trust.
At Owlerton Stadium, we have an incredibly dedicated and active RGT team who are passionate about what they do. Our team of volunteers, based at Gosling Moor Farm in Wortley, organizes numerous fund-raising events at the racetrack and attends hundreds of local shows and fund raising event each year.
If you would like to know more about the trust, please contact us for details at info@sheffieldretiredgreyhounds.co.uk or visit the website for details at www.sheffieldretiredgreyhounds.co.uk
