They have raced week in and week out and they have given their all to the cheers of the crowd. When it is time for them to hang up their racing jackets, it is the Retired Greyhound Trust (RGT) that find our greyhounds loving homes.


At Owlerton Stadium, we have an incredibly dedicated and active RGT team who are extremely passionate about what they do. Our team of volunteers, based at Gosling Moor Farm in Wortley, organise numerous fund-raising events at the racetrack and attend hundreds of local shows every year.

Thousands of families love greyhounds for their gentle, loving and affectionate nature. Greyhounds are wonderful companions who are fantastic with children and make lovely pets. You don't even need to book to enjoy the fun. Just turn up on the night for general admission where we have fantastic offers and deals to suit everyone's budget. If you want a meal in the restaurant though, we strongly advise that you book your night out so it doesn't end in disappointment.

Fabulous Free Tuesdays. Join us on the first Tuesday of every month at Owlerton Greyhound Stadium when you can enjoy a free night of dog racing on us. Not only will you get free admission and two free Tote bets, but you will also be entitled to a free drink and fast food meal. If you are reading this in Lancashire we promise you it will be worth your trip over the Pennines to Sheffield in Yorkshire.

Greyhound Pack. If you are looking for a fun night out for a smaller party, then take advantage of our great value Greyhound Pack, which is available for 2 or more adults.
